Three Stages at Folsom Lake College

Carlo Gozzi’s hilarious comic fable comes to life in the forest of King Deramo and the faithful Angela who loves him.  In this magical fantasy, men become creatures and creatures become men.  Deceit, lies, magic, murder, betrayal, and loyalty all share the stage in this charming pursuit of true love.  Gozzi’s 18th-century fairy tale, performed by The Falcon’s Eye in the style of commedia dell’arte under the direction of discipline expert Jamie Van Camp, still captivates audiences with its humor, colorful, larger-than-life characters, and intricately entangled plot.
